Harvard College Debating Union World Schools - India Invitationals 2025
The IDL x Harvard College Debating Union (HCDU) partnership represents a landmark collaboration between two institutions committed to fostering intellectual excellence, critical thinking, and global dialogue among school students. In the lead-up to the selection tournament, this initiative will deliver a series of immersive bootcamps, debate workshops, and mentorship programs across India. These sessions will be led by championship-winning HCDU debaters and IDL’s top trainers and will cover essential skills such as case strategy, speaker roles, rebuttal construction, and impromptu motion preparation.
Participants will engage in mock rounds, adjudication clinics, and personalised feedback scrimmages, ensuring that every student is not only ready to compete, but empowered to grow as a thinker, communicator, and leader. This journey will culminate in the Harvard WSDC Indian Qualifiers 2025, hosted in person for the first time by the Indian Debating League. The top-performing teams will be selected to represent India at the Harvard WSDC 2026, and will continue to receive high-level training from both HCDU and IDL coaches in preparation for the global stage.
